The Oldies Preservation Society aims to preserve and promote oldies music through various media platforms including broadcast and the internet. Our organization provides educational resources to help people learn about the history of oldies music and the artists who created it. We also aim to sustain the future of oldies music by sponsoring events, promoting marketing campaigns, and delivering informative content related to oldies music and artists through email newsletters and
printed materials to our members.
Our mission is to keep the songs from the early years of rock on the radio in the Spokane area. We believe that preserving the music of yesterday is essential for radio listeners today and tomorrow. We will solicit donations on radio station KOOL 107.1FM to expand our membership and raise financial support through regular Pledge Drives to fulfill our purpose of owning and operating this station or another radio station in the future.
Meet the people who make the magic happen.
Giving the gift of time is a valuable way to contribute to our cause at the OPS Volunteer Team. We welcome volunteers who are at least 16 years old and possess qualities such as motivation, teamwork, organization, efficiency, and excellent communication skills.
Our volunteers all share a love for KOOL music and a passion for the mission of the Oldies Preservation Society: to preserve the music from the first decades of rock and educate the public about the many great songs and artists from those early years. If you share the same passion, we encourage you to apply to become a volunteer team member today!
The first step is to complete a Volunteer Application. After you have submitted your application, OPS will review it and contact you to schedule an initial phone interview. If you have any additional questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us via email using the Contact form on our website.
